<<< Book: Delfin..Excellent text. Much better
than what I had last year although that book wasn't bad.
Teacher(s)
Armin. Great. Very(!) patient
and thorough. Solid professional. Easy to talk to. Easy to understand.
Took great pains to explain all the necessary grammar and vocabulary.
Lots of examples, clear writing, very competent. Wonderful personality.
Karola: Same as Armin. A real
treat. Good sense of humor with ability to vary the classes to sustain
and increase interest. Lots of fun but very professional and thorough.
Beate: What can I say? I was
so happy that she was my afternoon teacher. I came early everyday and
everyday she had a prepared program for me. Extremely professional,
she also allowed me time to talk (and how!), gently and patiently aiding
me. She showed me new vocabulary, different ways to phrase ideas, correction
of pronunciation, development of speech and sentence structure. At the
end of every class, I had new sheets of vocabulary and assignments in
preparation for the next meeting. With her, the time seemed to fly and
every class went by too quickly.
You have chosen, with great skill, the staff at Treffpunkt. I didn't
have one teacher that I wouldn't work with again. As I wrote you last
year; After so many years in teaching, it's not hard to pick out the good
from the bad. It's not always a tangible thing but I'm sure you understand
exactly what I'm saying. You have the best.
I'm sorry that I didn't get to see Chris. I owe him quite a bit from
last year and would have liked to express my gratitude and admiration
to him.
General Impressions: I thought
last year was great. This year was even better. All the 'der, die, das,
akk., dat., praeterite, usw., that seemed so difficult, was this year,
easy. I can't judge my own speaking but comprehension, vocabulary, reading
ability, all seemed to blossom. With the inclusion of new verb forms and
structures, the world of German opened up radically. Side note: One night
when I was doing my homework, Tom Esposito (ein Freund von mir!) looked
at the work and said he couldn't understand a thing and that it all seemed
so hard. I laughed and said that this was the easy part. It was then,
at that point, that I realized just how much progress I had made over
two years.
As I wrote last year: What I learned was because of your staff. What
I didn't learn was because of me.
P.S.I heard something about 'on line, e-mail courses that you might be
offering. Any info?
P.P.S. You're pretty good at what you do too!!!!
