The Business-Etikette-Kommunikation seminar at Treffpunkt was very helpful for my job as a factory program manager in Germany. As a Canadian, it helped me to better understand the behaviour of my colleagues, to know what is acceptable and polite behaviour in business situations, and to improve my German for business situations. Joachim is a German professional who understands the local culture and who is also familiar with international companies. He was able to help me understand specific technical terms for engineering and manufacturing, as well as provide typical phrases that I can confidently use when I am addressing groups of people, booking meetings, meeting new colleagues and so on. After the class I have more confidence about how to fit in better with the local German workstyle, and more insight into understanding the actions and behaviours of my German colleagues.
