~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ February 2007 Dear Treffpunkt Family Thank you so much for such a wonderful time in Bamberg over the last 2 weeks. The teachers at Treffpunkt were so welcoming and friendly. They also helped me tremendously with my German and I felt that I could ask questions at any time. The organisation at Treffpunkt is brilliant and everything, from the day I first emailed you to the day I left, was handled quickly and efficiently, I never had a problem. The classes were very good because with a smaller group I found that I got the attention that I needed. The private classes were also perfect as in a one-on-one lesson I learnt a lot. I also found the activities that you ran very well done. I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday tour to Nuernberg and our Beer tasting tour around Bamberg, both tour guides / teachers knew all the history involved which made it very interesting. There was not one day that I felt alone in Bamberg, we had something to do every day which was so much fun! The accommodation was lovely. Living with a German family and experiencing the life in Bamberg with them is a fantastic idea. My host mother, Remira, was such a friendly, warm person and she made me feel completely at home in her apartment. I also had company if I wanted to talk to someone at home and it bettered my German, speaking to a mother tongue German speaker. I met people from all over the world and we became good friends. I'm sure we will keep in contact for many years to come! It was so interesting to meet people from different countries and discuss how each person lives, but also to find that everyone is the same no matter where we come from. Once again, I thank you for making this experience one of the best in my life and as soon as I get the chance I will be back to do it all over again!!! All the best to you! Theresa South Africa |
